THE ACCELERATED ATTACK is an offensive fencing action. In this action a fencer steps forward slowly with the front foot observing the opponents reaction. If on the step forward the opponent delays there movement backward and the distance feels right you rapidly step forward with the back foot and thrust/lunge to the target. The sub goal of this action is to surprise the opponent while they step back at the speed of your slow step forward. This unforeseen action on your part will fours your opponent to attempt a reflexive blade parry.

FOOT TEMPO ATTACK is made when the distance feels right and at the instant your opponent for some tactical reason, stepping closer to you.

Lateral Parry Four. Lateral parry four is made when an engagement is made with an incoming attacking blade, by moving the blade in a horizontal lateral motion from the six position to the four position. IF THERE IS NO ENGAGEMENT, THERE IS NO PARRY. The riposte is an offensive action executed immediately after a parry.
