What is, OLYMPIC Sport Fencing?

OLYMPIC Sport Fencing is a modern sport derived from the ancient art of combat by the sword. Modern OLYMPIC fencing combines physical and mental abilities to produce a highly complex motor skill. In fencing, no two bouting situations are ever the same; in fact, no point nor any action is ever replicated in exactly the same way. The Practice of Olympic Sport Fencing is a unique recreational activity that can provide great enjoyment for athletes of all ages.

Here is a web site that I recommend. It is a FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) page that will be helpful to gain a general understanding of fencing. Coach Gerry Duran
